Still have some questions about working on a campsite for Selectcamp?

Will I work as a team?
Yes, the teams will be of 2 to 5 colleagues. If you apply for ‘courier as a couple’ you will be placed on a campsite together. To work with friends can be arranged on request.

Where will I live?
You will live in a 6- person Chalet tent with one colleague or in some cases alone. The Chalet tent is equipped with a kitchen, fridge, 2 bedrooms with normal beds and an inventory for 2.

How long should I be available to work with Selectcamp?
We work in 3 periods and it is important to be fully available in the period we agree on.
The periods are:
Period 1: April till October
Period 2: April till July 15th
Period 3: July 15th till October.
Unfortunately we cannot give you exact dates because this depends on which campsite you will work on and when it opens.

Can I choose which country, region or on which campsite to work on?
During the selection interview we will always ask you if you have any preferences, after which we will try to take this into account. If your first choice is not available we will look for an alternative.

How many hours do I work per week?
You will work 6 days a week and you always have one day off. However, the hours are flexible and depending on the campsite the hours will vary. You will have plenty of free time to rest, enjoy yourself or go sightseeing.

Do I get a lot of support when I am abroad?
An experienced Regional assistant will visit the campsite once every two weeks. Also, they are available by phone 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. There is no Lack of support.

How will my trip to the campsite be arranged and do I get travel expanses?
Your trip to and from the campsite will be arranged by Selectcamp. On arrival at the airport you will be picked up by one of your colleagues who will accompany you to the campsite. On the campsite a mountain bike will await you for you to get around the site.

How do I collect my salary?
We offer you a Dutch contract and you will receive your salary every 2 weeks in your bank account.

How about Insurance?
We will arrange travel insurance for you. You do need a valid Liability Insurance.
