Couriers / courier couples / senior couples

As a courier your choice is for a versatile job. From the moment you start, the wide range of tasks will ensure time flies by. Your first task will be the preparation of the campsite. Before the guests arrive, the tents will be assembled, inventory distributed, accommodations and reception areas cleaned and prepared. After the assembly period, the campsite becomes livelier. You will then be responsible for the Dutch, Belgian, German, Austrian, Swiss, English, Danish and Polish guests. You have daily contact with the manager and reception.

The emphasis is now on service and quality. Our guests expect that their tent or caravan not only looks perfect, but is clean and complete. Furthermore your tasks include checking in on your guests every evening, a daily reception service (2 hours), providing general information, planning arrivals and departures of customers, and organising our Looky Club for the children 3 times a week. After the high season in September the pressure starts to ease off. The caravans will be prepared for winter and we begin to dismantle the tents. To round off the season, there is a special dismantling team, which you will be required to assist on the camp sites within your region.

Minimum age 18 years, English language. German, French and/or Italian is a plus. Customer service skills, responsible and flexible working attitude. Not afraid of hard work!



Courier advanced / courier in charge

For the campsites where we have several accommodations, we are looking for experienced couriers or candidates with a similar function.

Your tasks are equal to the couriers’ job description, but with a higher level of responsibility.

You are responsible for the team (1-4 people) and therefore you will be required to coordinate the various tasks of the team. You will organise the daily planning, such as the checking in and out of guests, preparing accommodations, reception service and the Looky Club. Guest planning, administration, ordering inventory and contact with the Regional Assistant also falls under your responsibility.

Period:
Mid April to end October

Function requirements:
Minimum age 24 years, English language. German, French, Italian, Croatian and/or Spanish is a plus. Customer service skills, responsible and flexible working attitude. Organisation/Leadership skills. Not afraid of hard work!



Regional Assistant

Your season with Selectcamp lasts 8 months and consists of 3 important periods: assembly period, guest period and dismantle period. You are the couriers’ main point of contact in your region. You are responsible for the Selectcamp product at 9 campsites.

Duties as described below will be discussed and carried out under the supervision of the Operations Manager. The first few weeks of employment consist of a thorough training period which is essential for a successful season.

Assembly period:
March to May

In the assembly period, you set up the tents with your assembly team, and ensure the tents’ inventory is correct and complete. You will be required to train, instruct and support the couriers, to ensure the Selectcamp standard, concerning the cleaning and furnishing of the accommodations and the Selectcamp reception, is achieved and maintained.


You prepare the couriers for the arrival of the guests. You explain what is expected of them in connection with their tasks, such as dealing with guests and the camping management, checking in and out of guests, Looky Club (kids club), administration, stock control, reception duties and further tasks. In this period you shall lay the base for a good season. During this time you will live and work together with the assembly team. You coordinate team tasks and will be required to organise weekly grocery shopping, to ensure three meals a day.

Guest period:
June to September

This means that the level of our service and the quality of our accommodations have to be of the highest standard, from the beginning of the season right through till the end.

Protecting the quality and the formula is extremely important in this period. You regularly visit the campsites, and evaluate the situation. You must stay well informed about the wellbeing of the couriers, customer satisfaction and camping management satisfaction. You check if the Selectcamp reception area is representative. You deliver inventory to the campsites. You immediately respond to calamities, to ensure the problem doesn’t get out of hand. You must check the couriers’ administration.

Dismantle period:
September to October

In the dismantle period it is vital that the last phase of the season is carried out with enthusiasm. You instruct the couriers how to prepare their campsites before dismantling.

Together with the dismantling team you check our inventory and dismantle the tents. The campsite must be left neat and tidy.

Period:
March to October

Function requirements:
This versatile job requires a person with a positive attitude towards life, customer service minded, independent and effective approach, stress resistant, leadership qualities, flexible, quality control and genuinely helpful. To inspire people, you must have good communication skills and have the ability to create and motivate a team. You are around 25 years old, have a full drivers’ licence and speak English and German. Italian is a plus.



Logistic Assistant (LA) Italy

We are looking for an Italian based Logistic Assistant, who will be in charge of our central warehouse at Lake Garda. The Selectcamp season consists of 3 periods: assembly period, guest period and dismantle period. Duties as described below will be discussed and carried out under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

Assembly period (preparing accommodations ready for use):
March to May

Throughout this period we prepare the accommodations for all regions. As team leader you will be working together with 3 employees, to ensure a smooth running warehouse.
• Sorting orders (materials necessary for assembly and camping inventory)
• Processing incoming orders from suppliers
• Transport organisation
• Sorting reserve inventory and preparing for transport
• Loading one or more trucks per region with your team
• Supply several campsites with necessary materials

Guest period:
June to September

Selectcamp is successful due to the high quality of service, inventory, accommodations and its well known brand and formula. It is crucial that we deliver the promises we make. Therefore we regularly renew camping inventory to ensure the highest standard of quality.
After inventory has been checked in all regions, you will supply campsites with new inventory. The central warehouse has to be categorized and sorted after the assembly period to ensure a well organised warehouse.

Dismantle period:
September to November

In this period the campsites close down. Numerous amounts of materials will be returned to the warehouse. Tasks include:

• Preparing warehouse for return of goods
• Assisting in dismantling of several campsites at Lake Garda
• Collecting materials from various campsites in the region

Period:
Available from mid March till 1st November

Function requirements:
This versatile job demands a candidate with a flexible attitude.
This is a physically demanding job, where the necessary logistical skills are required.
You are around 25 years old and speak English. Italian is a plus.
You must have a full drivers’ licence, minimum E.



Maintenance Team

We are looking for an Italian based maintenance couple, who will ensure the upkeep of our caravans on the 25 campsites throughout the season. We divide the season in 3 periods: commissioning, guest period and de-commissioning. Duties as described below will be discussed and carried out under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

Assembly period (preparation):
March to May

Throughout this period you will visit the campsites in Italy/France and prepare the caravans for the coming season. (At the end of the previous season the caravans have been prepared for the winter break, for further information see de-commissioning.)

• Connecting water, electricity and gas to the caravan
• Starting geyser installation to ensure proper functioning.
• Carrying out repairs, which have been reported at the end of the previous season.
This includes all aspects of repairs in and around a caravan.
• Example of small repairs: changing lamps/bulbs, clothing hooks, door knobs, leaking siphons, shower heads and loose parts. Cleaning of couch cushions and curtains.
• Example of larger repairs: geyser repairs, window replacements, shower basin/door replacement, door adjustment, fixing gas/water leaks etc.


Guest period:
June to September

This means that the level of our service and the quality of our accommodations have to be of the highest standard, from the beginning of the season right through till the end.

You will regularly visit campsites in your region, where you will carry out repairs listed on the maintenance report.
Besides the planned maintenance, you will be expected to carry out urgent repairs.
Depending on where you are based, it may be possible that you will be required to leave immediately to solve calamities on site.

Demontage period:
September to November

In this period we close up the caravans and take stock of repairs for the following season.
• Water, electricity and gas will be disconnected.
• The geyser and water pipes must be cleared of water, to prevent freezing.
• The caravan will be checked; defects and items to be replaced must be reported.
• The campsites will be left neat and tidy.

Period:
Available from 1st March till 1 st December

Function requirements:
This versatile job requires a couple with a flexible attitude. Our caravans are becoming more luxurious, therefore technical know how is a must.
The uniformed appearance of our caravans is extremely important to us, so you have to have an eye for detail. It is an advantage to be able to work independently, and also want to be part of this enjoyable organisation. You are around 25 years old, have a full drivers’ licence and speak English. Italian is a plus.



Demontage employees

As an assembly demontage employee you will assist with the assembly of our bungalow tents at the beginning of the season. We assemble our bungalow tents on all campsites in Italy and France with a team of 10 people.
During the demontage period, a
t the end of the season all of these tents must be dismantled.

from half March till half May

Period demontage:
from 9th September till 1st November

Function requirements:

You are around 25 years old, have a full drivers’ licence and speak English. Italian is a plus.



Store employee

As a store employee you will help prepare our store room at Lake Garda in Italy for the new season.

Your main tasks will be to load and unload trucks, prepare deliveries for the campsites, keeping the store room in order and when necessary, deliver supplies to the designated campsites.

Period:
end of February till the end of May.

Function requirements:
Minimum age 18 years old, good team skills, flexible, no 9 to 5 mentality, not afraid of hard work!
